Minutes of the meeting of Board of Governors AESCOET (Polytechnic).
Held on 15 th October 2016 at 2.00 pm in the office of the Polytechnic building.
The following members were present:

Hon. Rajivji Jagtap was in the Chair. He then briefed the board about the polytechnic’s existing
activities and conveyed the Member Secretary to conduct the Meeting.
The Member Secretary read out the minutes of the previous meeting held on Saturday 15th
October 2016 and the same were approved and confirmed.
He then read out the measures adopted and steps taken with respect to the MSBTE Academic
monitoring as recommended by Governing Body.
At the outset, Prof. Prashant Patil explained the present process of First year Admission 2016-
17 and Direct 2nd year 2016-17. As per Govt. ordinance 2015, all the admission including
Minority Seats, except institutional Quota seats of 1st year and direct 2nd year shall be filled
through State Common Entrance Cell under CAP rounds. He further stated that that registration
and documents verification is made compulsory for each and every student for admission under
Diploma courses, by the State Common Entrance Cell. The necessary steps are being taken bythe institute to process F.Y. and Direct 2nd year admission in accordance with the rules &
regulations and notifications issued by the State Cell from time to time .
He further informed the members that there is no information from Shikshan Shulka Samiti
about submission of Fixation of fees, till date.
Prof. Prashant Patil informed the Committee members that, as there were poor response for the
Diploma from the students since last 3 years, it was decided to more emphasis must be given to
skill based Education rather theoretical knowledge from the Academic year 2017-18
Also he informed to the member about the latest Approval Process Handbook 2016-17, made it
compulsory to have NBA accreditation as qualifying criteria to introduce any new course in an
existing institute.
Prof. Prashant Patil presented the suggestions and recommendations made by various
committees, viz. Finance Committee, Equipment Committee, Building Committee and Staff
Selection Committee. Each point was discussed in detail and the following resolution was
passed:
HOSTEL FACILTY
Prof. Prashant Patil informed the member about Hostel activities like yoga, seminar, internet
facility in the hostel, cultural activities in the hostel, rules and regulation for the hostel students
and the success rate of the hostel students.

CO-CURRICULAR
Mr. Lagdive R. B. informed that Engineers Day celebrated in the institute in order to give
opportunity to students to showcase their ideas and develop competency in Technical Projects
and Technical Paper Presentations, was a grand success and should be conducted in the Institute
every year. The same was appreciated and accepted unanimously.

INDUSTRIAL VISITS
Mr. Gaikwad Prasad suggested that efforts to be made to conduct long duration Industrial Visits
by each department to give students exposure to hands on experience. And immediately Rajivji
Jagtap sir immediately sponsored and suggested the Industrial Visit at ISRO Bangalore. The
same was unanimously accepted.

SPORTS & GATHERING
Mr. Nana Takwale Suggested that institute should promote cultural activities like gathering and
Social activities like Blood donation camp, plantation ,PUC camp and also to promote sports
in every possible way and should start sending student to participate in various Inter-Zonal
Sports competitions. Sanjeevji Jatap sir suggested to conduct gathering of the institute atGanesh Kala Krida mandal Pune ,and conduct the Social activities on the Occasion Of
Campus foundation day.
The same was discussed in detail and the proposal was accepted unanimously.

TECHNICAL WORKSHOPS

Mr.Rajeev Gulabrao Jagtap suggested that institute should start various “skill development”
courses to take benefit of opportunities offered by “PradhanMantriKaushalVikasYojana” and to
make use of existing infrastructure. The same was discussed in detail and the proposal was
appreciated accepted unanimously.

DEPARTMENT-WISE VISION

Mrs. SanjeevJI Jagtap suggested that each of the five departments of the institutes should
decide a “Departmental Vision” for their department and start working towards achieving that
vision, to give better clarity of thoughts and actions to the faculty. The same was discussed in
detail and the proposal was appreciated accepted unanimously.

NBA ACCREDITATION.
Mrs. Sunita Rajeev Jagtap suggested for applying for NBA accreditation. And suggested to
arrange NBA training in the college premises for all the staff .The proposal was appreciated
accepted unanimously.

SANITARY NAPKIN MACHINE

Mrs. Sunita Rajeev Jagtap suggested to install ‘Sanitary Napkin Disposal Machine’ in the
Ladies’ Toilets, to help girl students and ladies faculty members. The proposal was appreciated
accepted unanimously.
There being no other business, the meeting was concluded with a vote of thanks to the chair.

The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department will excel in undergraduate and graduate

changing Technical as well as Industrial requirements through continuous updating of
